In the suburbs and villages, most base stations are built around the township governments with relatively high density of population. Many villages can’t receive 2G/3G/LTE signals because of far away from the base station. In suburban and rural areas, Mobile signal coverage mainly solves the problem of signal blind area and weak area, and traffic is not the main issue. To solve the issue of signal blind area and weak area is mostly by increasing and extending the coverage range of base station.
Building another base station can cost a lot, and is not practical for operators as the users are scarce and the capacity are sufficient. Hence, they will seek for repeaters to fix the spots. Repeater can be installed easily to anywhere in the station range to eliminate the signal blind and weak areas with the utilization of current capacity.
